INFORMATION FOR FINE ARTS ACTIVITIES

The Cultural Center of the Municipality of Lefkas plans important events on a year basis aiming at the upgrading of the artistic movement in Lefkas and the elevation of the cultural level of the local society. 

The events are held in two different communal halls with responsibility of the Cultural Center

Exhibition Hall of Cultural Center

The first hall (85 m2) was first opened in 1984 and it is dedicated to the well-known lefkadian expressionist painter Theodoros Stamos. It is situated in the old town. ( 1 Skiadaresi str, Lefkada 31100, tel : 26450-21465).

The second hall (140 m2) was opened in 1998 and it is in the ground floor of the Town Hall (1 Agg. Sikelianou and Svoronou str, Lefkada 31100, tel: 26450-22620, fax:26450-26715).
Hall of Art Theodoros Stamos

Exhibitions (individual, group, children s’) of painting, engraving, sculpture, chalcography, photography, caricature are held throughout the year with the cooperation of institutions, organizations, embassies and other Municipalities.     

Any artist (Greek or foreigner) who wishes to present his/her work to either hall has to make an application in the desks of the Cultural Center. The Art Coordinator, Mrs Anna Nikodimou, is responsible for the organization of the exhibition. The artist does not cover any expenses for the exhibition. At the end of the exhibition the artist has to offer one piece of his/her work for the enrichment of the communal gallery.
